The role of the Instructor
Devoted to each child’s development and growth
In order to give students appropriate instruction, the Kumon Instructor observes their study behaviour, particularly when repeating certain worksheets and studying new content, to obtain a sound idea of their progress and development.
Through close observation and evaluation, the Instructor determines the “just right” level for the students
The Instructor’s role is to ensure that students will always experience a sense of achievement from their study. In order to give students appropriate instruction, the Kumon Instructor observes their study behaviour, particularly when doing repetition and studying new content, to obtain a sound idea of their progress and development.
The Instructor acknowledges students’ development and discusses students’ progress with parents and guardians
Through close observation and keeping records of daily progress, the Kumon Instructor monitors how each student grows and develops. The Instructor acknowledges the students’ development by praising them for their achievements and encouraging them to take on further challenges. In addition, the Instructor carries out regular meetings with parents and guardians in order to update and/or discuss students' progress.
